Scunthorpe's 26 game unbeaten run and Oxford's senior strikers
GARRY SAYS: There is talk of family and media commitments for Stuart Pearce but it would have been difficult for him to take over now because Forest are Converse All Star Chuck Taylor Ox on a terrible run and I think the board thought: 'We probably won't get in the play offs, so we'll let Stuart start afresh in the summer'. Forest's players shouldn't need any one individual to motivate them anyway and if they do they shouldn't be playing. Burnley, meanwhile, have only won once in four games but you would think one more win would be enough for them to get promoted automatically and they are good enough to win any of their remaining games, even though Wigan, Ipswich and Reading are good teams.
Peterborough, Preston and the League One relegation scrap
are so many teams still down there that they must be living on the edge of their nerves at the moment but Northampton are almost out of trouble, as they are level on points with Wycombe and only a point behind Bristol Rovers. They kept a clean sheet in their win over Burton, too, and if you are doing that at this stage of the campaign it is a great help. A lot of teams are still looking over their shoulder but it has been fantastic entertainment because no one has been cut adrift and everyone is determined not to drop down because of how difficult it is to get back, as my old team Grimsby will testify.

Garry's FL72 Review
GARRY SAYS: I was fortunate to be part of a Nottingham Forest team that went 42 games unbeaten and you feel invincible every time you get out on the park, but I would imagine it is more difficult at the lower levels as you don't have top quality players so all credit to Scunthorpe. Oxford, meanwhile, have two very experienced strikers in Dave Kitson (34) and James Constable (29) and I would always advise players to keep going, at whatever level, as long as your body can accept it. Once you are out of football you are out of it for good and you miss everything about it the banter, the games, the training, the goals, the goal line clearances.
Wolves' promotion back to the Championship
The twists and turns at the bottom of League Two
GARRY SAYS: It is always difficult being a favourite and having such a great history as everyone expects you to get the job done and, in this case, every team that went to Molineux in League One treated it as a cup final. Wolves, though, have done great to deal with that and overcome it, and they have built from the back to get over the line with 24 clean sheets. Manager Kenny Jackett has said no major surgery will be required and I get where he is coming from because there are some experienced players there, so I think it will be a case of tinkering and then trying to push on. If they do it right, they could be challenging in the Championship, without a doubt.
GARRY SAYS: Peterborough are trying to get promoted through the play offs after winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and it would be some achievement if they did it. We know they can score goals but they have stopped conceding them now and that always gives you a chance. Preston, meanwhile, are possibly too far away to get automatic promotion though a win over Brentford on Good Friday will give them a sniff and bring the gap down to five points but down at the bottom anyone could still get out of trouble. Notts County have shown that by winning four out of five to get out of the drop zone, thanks to the form of Jack Converse Red And White
